The safari package features an incredible chimpanzee tracking with an afternoon Bigodi wetland guided nature walk for birding and other wildlife watching. Day 1: Arrival from Kampala- Kibale National Park
Pick up from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala and drive to Kibale via Mubende. Make a stopover for your lunch in Fort portal. Later proceed to Kibale for relaxation as you prepare for your next adventure. Or opt to visit the Crater lakes near Ndali Lodge for an outstanding sightseeing. Arrive in time for dinner at your lodge in or near Kibale National Park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Primate Trail and Bigodi Swamp Walk
After an early breakfast, you embark on a primate tracking adventure in the tropical rain forest with greater chances to unveil the park’s primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys along with L’hoest’s, Red Colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable.
After lunch, the Bigodi Women’s Group will take you on a fascinating boardwalk trail through the papyrus swamp of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Finish this action-packed day with a cultural performance or a sunset drink at a nearby lodge. Retreat and proceed to your favorite lodge for relaxations, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Cultural Tour and onward travel to Kampala or Entebbe
Mazima Adventure Safaris’ guide will take you on a fascinating cultural tour of the Bigodi homesteads, where you will observe the preparation on food and learn traditional weaving techniques with Bigodi Women’s Group.
Proceed for a visit to the Toro palace to explore the history of the kingdom and also make a visit to the Karambi tombs the burial place before you can return to Kampala.
